We couldn't wait to hit the road the day after Christmas
We were so excited to get to Silver City New Mexico
The Drifter kicked off the a new country band venue
J.T. Reno & the House of Stone was honored to get the ball rolling!
Even a snow storm and a closed mountain pass, didn't keep us from this fun!!
The Drifter.....
Drifter Dec 26th & 27th

J.T. Reno & the House of Stone in lights but more important......... what the heck is that white stuff on the ground?

J.T. just arrived, as the snowstorm delayed his arrival Last minute preparations before we kick things off.

Well for starters, J.T. is guilty of unsanitary microphone hygiene; Licking your microphone is just NOT allow; in the world of music!

Leviticus J is guilty of leading a secret life. Here is a glimpse into his secret desire…. He has always wanted to be a Rock n’ Roll Pirate!

Here is David, the manager of the Drifter. He is prepping that dance floor for maximum dancing pleasure. (love that sprinkly stuff!)

O.K. boys, it's time to get this boat floatin'... kick it in gear....start this festia....anchors away.... on your mark, get set go.....Let the bull out of the shoot; (you get the idea - time to start)

Here is a normal workday for these boys... Grab your instrument of choice, use your God given talents and enjoy the heck out of whatever venue you have been given the opportunity to play Tell me you can't see how much they LOVE what they do!

Did'r Z & J.T. decide that sprinkly stuff on that huge dancing floor is too fun to pass up So Stone & Leviticus J generously continue to play while these guys cut a rug! (in a VERY manly sort of way and certainly no touching involved here!!) Notice how the instruments are held like weapons...just in case.

O.K. ok ok; J.T. has an idea..... So it is cold and stormy, no one is in the bar this evening Let's make the best of this situation and apply a little of the JT Reno Funbus magic.

So what would you do in this situation: It is near zero degrees outdoors, a snowstorm has shut down the roads leading to town, the only people in the venue are the employees plus a couple customers stranded because of the weather. ~Some would pack it up for the night! ~Some would pretend there was a packed house! ~Some would even be upset!! Not this band.....We take the JTReno Funbus quite seriously-Serious Fun that is!! JT and the gang-got all the employees up on stage with them for a fun singalong to a favorite "Sweet Home Alabama".

This is Tomas, he is on the Security Staff at the Drifter. We were THRILLED to invite him on stage with us to share his talent with the mouth harp!

The two gentlemen on the left were travelers from Tucson who were stranded by the snowstorm, what the heck come on up and join in the fun at the microphone!

Here is Justin, another guy on the Security Staff at the Drifter This man has no fear, he joined the gang and even sang a song.

Ah now J.T.'s turn to harrass Stone - Only he wrenches it up a notch and does it while Stone is singing.

Here is Justin taking another crack at a song Good thing J.T. has those "cheat sheets" with the words!

So we mentioned the storm, but I really need to emphasize it was COLD You know us babies from Tucson....but really here's the proof!

The girls enjoy the sprinkly stuff on the floor too. Besides that music is so darn good-you can't help yourself!!

J.T. and Stone; advising Justin that they are professionals and this should not be tried at home. However they are here to help assist him thru this.

Did'r Z ya OK? buddy....you're not having a stroke are ya? Whew, he was just laughing so hard his arm went limp. Thank goodness, Did'r Z is such a 'gifted' bass player what would we ever do with out him?

This happens all the time.... Leviticus J's drum solos tend to start small fires. No worries he keeps an extinguisher nearby at all times.

J.T. is wracking his brain trying to come up with an appropriate comment for the next photo of Leviticus J

Let's eavesdrop on Did'r Z thoughts for a moment Hmmm... green chile, red chile, green chile, red chile? Wonder if I can find brown gravy to put on the red chile chimi?

J.T. ponders...Is the rumor true?? Are the green chile chimis at the Snappy Mart next door truly the best to be had?
